Doors
Doors need to provide both security and style to your home, and Bay Joinery will design made-to-measure doors to meet your exact preferences.
All our doors are manufactured using COC, FSC® approved wood, sourced from leading suppliers in the UK.
There are many types of door that can be custom-made, ranging from external front doors to garage doors, stable, bi-fold and interior doors.
Using traditional mortise and tenon joint construction, combined with high quality ironmongery, your bespoke front door will ensure the safest security and durability.
French doors will create a perfect finish to your house with a variety of glazing options for security and economical heat resistance.
Bi-folding doors are the perfect choice for creating more light within your house, as internal room dividers or simply to provide easier access to an outside space. Our bi-folding doors are handcrafted with a variety of opening options, to be energy efficient, and with improved locking systems for added security.
Folding sliding doors are an ideal choice for those who seek a practical yet stylish divide within their home.
External doors will allow you to enjoy a view all year around, whereas an internal door will create a seamless transition from room to room.
In addition, there is an extensive selection of veneers and finishes to choose from to match your aesthetical requirements perfectly.
Fire doors
As well as being aesthetically pleasing it is also important that doors should be as safe as possible. At Bay Joinery we offer certified, specialist fire doors that comply with building regulations, that can be made completely bespoke to suit the specialist needs of your home or business. We also offer fully glazed apertures together with factory fitted suites of ironmongery which comply with all fire certification.
We supply:
- 30 minutes’ fire resistance (integrity)
- 44mm certified core to BS 476 Pt22:1987 or BS EN 1634-1:2014
- Intumescent strips in the frame or the door (not both)
- Certified glazing (insulating/non assembly)
- 60 minutes’ fire resistance (integrity)
- 54mm certified core to BS 476 Pt22:1987 or BS En 1634-1:2015
- Intumescent strips in the frame or the door (not both)
- Certified glazing (insulating/non insulating)
- 90 minutes’ fire resistance (integrity)
- 60mm or 64mm certified core to BS 476 Pt22:1987 or BS EN 1634-1:2014
- Hardwood minimum 650kg/m3 density frame construction
- Intumescent strips in the frame or the door (not both)
- Certified glazing (insulating/non insulating)
Gates
We manufacture and provide a range of bespoke gates to suit any property or project, to blend in seamlessly with their surroundings, enhancing and complementing a new build or renovation project.
We use traditional and contemporary styles and designs customised to your requirements, and offer a wide range of finishes to our gates that are designed to make a statement. In addition, they are fitted with the highest quality ironmongery to offer privacy and security and to withstand all extremes of weather.
Windows
A bespoke window can be crafted however you wish, whether that is to feature high security ironmongery, energy efficient glass, heavy-duty hardware or be created as a delicate artistic piece that complements both the light and the design elements.
Our bespoke windows can be handcrafted into sash, box or casement windows, designed by our craftsmen using high quality materials and double-glazed glass. We can replicate your existing sashes or manufacture beautiful new sashes with modern fixtures for improved safety and insulation for your home.
Aided by the UK’s leading manufacturers of quality wood varnish and local glass manufacturers for durable glazing, we can create depth of colour, excellent weather resistance and all the benefits of double glazing. We also offer a spray finish option.

Staircases
A well-designed staircase can complete the look of any house, providing a new dimension and style. Our staircases, each of which are custom-built and designed with our client’s specific requirements in mind, ensures this.
Our bespoke staircases are designed to be compliant to all current building regulations, constructed using the highest quality materials and crafted to suit the architectural character of your property.
Cabinetry
We provide a range of bespoke fitted furniture such as walk-in wardrobes, mirrored cabinets and vanity units, to name a few.
At Bay Joinery, we are accommodating of requests. It is for this reason that your bespoke cabinetry can include a variety of customised elements such as LED lighting, sliding doors for confined spaces, drawer runners for high load capacity and built-in compartments specifically tailored to your desires.
Corian
Corian® works everywhere, and as such it is the material of choice for architects and designers specialising in healthcare, food service, hospitality, office buildings, schools, and of course, homes.
Corian® can be whatever you imagine it can be. Undulating, virtually seamless, with organic shapes, bold effects of colour and translucency – if you can dream it, you can create it with Corian®.
Heritage works
If you require joinery works for a listed building, we have specialist joiners and craftsmen who can carefully replicate the historic or architectural importance of the building to the required exceptional standard.
Veneering and laminating
Laminating is a cost effective, long lasting and practical choice for many surfacing requirements, with an endless choice of colours, textures and finishes available.
Laminate is a versatile surfacing material which can be flat bonded, or post formed to your choice of core material.
With easy care properties, it is a regular choice for commercial and domestic environments.
Using hot and cold presses, we can bond a variety of substrates such as MDF and plywood using various laminates for exterior cladding, laboratories, educational facilities, bathrooms and household areas, to name a few.
Spray finishing
Spray finishing can deliver a professional finishing touch to wood, MDF and many other surfaces for both domestic and commercial customers, and is available in many different finishes and colours.
Our spray finishing technicians can deliver an extensive range of coatings to meet your specific requirements with our paint and lacquer spraying service.
As well as providing top-end finishes for our own joinery works, we are happy to spray your existing items too.
Shop fitting
With a thorough understanding of your brand, concept and demographic, we will work closely with your contractors to craft a new interior that is conscious of identity, design, space and layout, colours, textures and materials as well as any merchandising or additional requirements.
